Join Craft Cellars for our Starry Night Virtual Whisky Festival in support of The Alberta Children’s Hospital and the Matteo Shafer Legacy Fund.
Since the first Starry Night Whisky & Wine Festival in 2017, over $200,000 has been raised for the Rotary Flames House. This has facilitated the acquisition of vital equipment such as an Ultrasound unit and speciality beds for children in need. With the generous support of our partners, our 2020 and 2021 events raised a combined total of $91,300.00. The 2020 funds were used to buy new specialty beds for the children at the Rotary Flames House, as well as a new washer and dryer and the 2021 funds went to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute, where they are focussed on developing next-generation immunotherapies for children battling cancer.

James Neil, Beam Suntory Canada’s World Whisk(e)y Ambassador
James has spent 10+ years working as an independent restaurant consultant across Canada. In 2009 he followed his passion and opened his own restaurant, diving into the world of Italian wine and craft cocktails. It wasn’t long after that he was introduced to the world of whisky and his fire was burning.
James had a desire to work with Beam Suntory, owners of the largest brown spirits portfolio, and started doing so for 7 years with the Mixxit Canada team as a lead product specialist dedicated to brand education. There, he founded the Hamilton Cocktail Showcase, a local platform for bartenders to showcase their craft featuring Beam Suntory brands while giving back to local charities.
In 2017 James accelerated to Beam Suntory’s Territory Sales Manager. With his eyes and heart set on the role of Luxury Brand Ambassador, it wasn’t long before he landed that exact role travelling across the country showcasing brands such as Laphroaig, Bowmore, Auchentoshan, Glen Garioch, Kilbeggan, and Tyrconnell.
