Arpepe Il Pettirosso

Intense garnet red. The nose is elegant, a bouquet that plays on fine notes of underpinned fruit and undergrowth, which are persistent. In the mouth it is of great harmony, mineral, juicy, savory and slightly spicy. Long on the finish.

Arpepe Rosso Di Valtellina

On the nose, soft vanilla bean, deep undertones of cherry-like fruit, a bouquet of flowers, and two delicate notes that shine through only on the palate: watermelon and honeycomb. The tannins are so feathery on this wine, and there was a tantalizing mineral feel to the finish. Would pair well with lightly seared ahi, roasted chicken, lamb shank.

Barolo Marchesi Di Barolo

Garnet-red in color with ruby reflections. An intense odor with clean scents of roses, vanilla, roasted hazelnuts, licorice and spices. Full, elegant, full-bodied and austere flavor with recurring hints of the olfactory sensations. Pleasant touch of tar and oaky notes in perfect balance.

Thanks to its big structure, this wine pairs exceptionally well with main courses of red meats, braised dishes and game in general. An ideal accompaniment for cheeses.

Batasiolo Barolo DOCG (Nebbiolo)

Intense and leisurely, it is distinguished for the perfect balance of tannins, freshness and alcohol contents, conveying sensations that are bold and elegant at the same time.

92 Points – James Suckling
This is a solid Barolo with strawberry, meat, walnut and tar aromas and flavours. It’s full-bodied with rich fruit and tannins. Muscular, yet there’s elegance and polish to it at the same time. Drink after 2021.

Cantina D Nebbiolo Barbaresco Meruzzono

Lengthy fermentation on the skins is followed by ageing in oak casks to produce a nose showing red fruit and aromatic herbs, and a well-bodied taste supported by powerful tannins that evolve over time into balsamic and fruity sensations. Recommended serving temperature 18-20°C.

Elio Altare Barolo Docg 2012

Very intense ruby red with garnet reflections in the glass. Fresh scents of small red fruits, raspberry, redcurrant and wild roses that evolve into licorice and spice notes. Warm, elegant, persistent with a long finish and soft tannins.

Enjoy on its own or pair with red meats or aged cheeses.

Gaja Sori San Lorenzo

The Gaja Sori San Lorenzo displays deep red color with highly concentrated aromas of currant and black cherry fruit with a hint of coffee, in addition to aromas of fine herbs, minerals and exotic spices. Almost always the most powerful and austere of Gaja’s five single-vineyard wines, requiring a longer time to fully develop. A very focused, concentrated wine with a long, lingering finish and refined tannins, it has excellent aging potential.

Nervi Gattinara (DOCG)

A rich red, exuding licorice, cherry, strawberry, floral and spice flavors, followed by iron and tobacco notes. Intense and harmonious, with excellent grip and a lingering aftertaste.

Pair with pasta and rice main courses (first and foremost, risotto), red meats, lamb, game and aged cheeses.

Pio Cesare Barbaresco DOCG

A very classical style Barbaresco: elegance and velvety, with ripe and spicy fruit. Strong tannins, but elegant. Good structure and concentration. Very long life. Barbaresco is a great wine—it should not be described as a “basic” or “regular” Barbaresco, simply because it does not have any additional indication on the label.

Aromas of dried orange, berry and hazelnut with hints of dried flowers. Tar, too. Full-bodied with chewy tannins and a juicy finish. The tannins are very fine and integrated. Chewy and encompassing flow across the palate. Very structured. Try after 2024.

Pio Cesare Barolo DOCG

This wine has extraordinary elegance, complexity and character. Silky and intense bouquet. Full body, great structure, right tannins, incredible ageing potential, precise and classic Nebbiolo style. The wine has sweet and very elegant tannins. It still needs one year in oak for the best maturation.

Pio Cesare Barolo Ornato 2017 DOCG

Extremely perfumed with dark berries, cherries, strawberries and crushed stones. Full-bodied with chewy, polished tannins that are muscular. Fantastic structure to this young Barolo, as well as great length. It grows on the palate with ease. Truly impressive. Incredible. Try after 2025.
