1792 Bottled In Bond-Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (50% abv)

While this offers no age statement, it revels in the renewed respect for bottled in bond whiskey which assures us it is at least 4 years old, 100 proof, from one distillery, and one distilling season. This new appreciation is for good reason. Toasted oak, chocolate-covered banana, vanilla, and apple meet hints of coffee and cinnamon on the nose. The high-rye recipe delivers the requisite cracked pepper and baking spices on the caramel-laden palate laced with licorice. This widely available bourbon seems to dwell in the age sweet spot, is nicely balanced with oak, and comes at a price that leaves little cause for hesitation. —Jeffery Lindenmuth

1792 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon (46.85% abv)

The distillery was named 1792, the year in which Kentucky became a state. A gold medal winner at the 2018 International Spirits Challenge. A high rye component adds peppery lift to the predominant and sweeter corn in this bourbon, but this is a rich, creamy spirit at its core. Brown sugar, butter, toffee, apple pie and licorice come through on a velvety texture. It carries the 46.85-per-cent alcohol well, thanks to its depth of flavour.

Baker’s Kentucky Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey (53.5% abv)

The new labels will feature details about each of the particular barrels, including the age, the warehouse in which it was aged, and the date it was barreled.

The bourbon is named for Baker Beam, grand-nephew of Jim Beam and a now-retired sixth generation distiller who worked 38 years at the family’s distillery. It was first created in 1992 by Baker’s cousin Booker Noe, then Master Distiller, as a part of the Jim Beam Small Batch family.

“Baker’s Bourbon has always been a bit of a hidden gem of our portfolio,” said Fred Noe, Beam’s 7th Generation Master Distiller. “With my cousin Baker’s blessing, we’ve decided to give his namesake brand a little bit of the spotlight it deserves. We hope the folks who currently enjoy Baker’s enjoy it even more as a single barrel offering, and that some more folks want to add it to their repertoire.”

Basil Hayden’s 10 Year Old Bourbon (40% abv)

Basil Hayden’s® 10 Year Old Bourbon features the same high-rye bourbon recipe that Basil Hayden’s fans know and love, but the whiskey is aged in barrels longer to create another layer of complexity and deeper flavor.

The result of the extra aging is a distinct whiskey with big oak aromas along with hints of char and vanilla. Basil Hayden’s® trademark spice shines through as the perfect complement to the caramel sweetness and wood flavors, making the whiskey a memorable one for fans and newcomers alike.

Serving neat, with a drop of water, or on-the-rocks allows the sweet caramel and vanilla notes that develop from 10 years in a newly charred American Oak barrel to shine, complementing the spicy rye flavors typical to Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon high-rye mashbill. At 80-proof, this whiskey is light enough to examine on the palette without the burn associated with higher-proof whiskeys.

Booker’s Small Batch Bourbon Series(63.20% abv) 2020-01E

Booker’s Bourbon is one of the only bourbons available today that is bottled uncut at its natural proof, yielding an intense flavor and nose that is one-of-a-kind. Inspired by a 200-year-old family tradition, Booker Noe, Jim Beam’s grandson and 6th GenerationMaster Distiller, first created Booker’s Bourbon as a Christmas gift for his close friends and family. Taking barrels found in the center-cut of the rackhouse, Booker bottled the bourbon straight-from-the-barrel, creating Booker’s Bourbon, a true barrel bourbon. Today, Master Distiller Fred Noe personally tastes and selects every batch of Booker’s Bourbon before it is bottled to ensure that it matches Booker’s personal preference for a robust and full-bodied whiskey.

The 2019 Batch Collection will feature four batch releases, each released in limited quantities and featuring a unique label and batch name honoring founding distiller Booker Noe, his love of family and his spirit of experimentation.

Boulder Bourbon Whiskey (42% abv)

Boulder Bourbon is an exceptionally unique, Limited Release product that is blended from the distillers pick of only the best barrels of our aged bourbon.

Our distillery in Boulder Colorado has a custom designed and imported Scottish Copper Pot Still. This Scottish Still, due to its wide shape, imparts considerably more flavors than a traditional American column still.

Our mash bill has just enough corn to allow it to be called a Bourbon, but that amount of corn gives the sweetness you would expect. We then use a higher malted barley mash bill than any distillery in the US, a whopping 44%, which gives our Boulder Bourbon a smooth fruity taste.

Buffalo Trace (45% abv)

Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon for the eponymous distillery made from corn, rye and malted barley. It’s aged in new oak barrels in historic old warehouses. The award-winning bourbon is batched from no more than 40 barrels at a time, and is aged on the middle floors of the distillery warehouses where the temperature fluctuation is the greatest. A top whiskey, with oodles of vanilla, barrel char and spicy complexity.
