Clonakilty Port Cask Finish Irish Whiskey (43.6% abv)

The barrels for the Clonakilty Port Finish Blended Whiskey are stored on the rough cliffs in the south of Ireland. The whiskey was dazzled with 7-10 year old bourbon barrel matured single malt and single grain whiskey. After blending, the whiskey was added to the Port Wine Cask to give it an excellent finish. In the glass, the whiskey captivates with its great color. The port wine barrel has given him a great red tone.

Dunville’s Three Crowns Whiskey Blended Irish Whiskey (43.5% abv)

Dunville’s Three Crowns was an Irish whiskey produced by Dunville in Belfast years and years ago, though sadly the Dunville’s brand was lost to the ravages of time in the 1930s.

Fast-forward to 2016, and the Echlinville distillery (Northern Ireland’s first licensed distillery in over 125 years) have revitalised the Dunville name and relaunched Dunville’s Three Crowns!

Hyde No. 6 President’s Reserve 1938 Sherry Cask Finish(46% abv)

Hyde No.6 is a blended whiskey that consists of 8 year old grain and 18 Year Old Single malt whiskeys. It does not have any age statement on the bottle, but who cares when the liquid is just this damn good. I have tried most of the releases from Hyde Irish Whiskey but this one is special.

Hyde No.6 is one of the best releases from Hyde Irish Whiskey to date. It is a special limited edition and I’d recommend picking up a bottle soon before they are gone. The President’s Reserve is selected from the master blenders very special selection of old reserve Irish whiskey casks and only 5000 bottles have been released. The Whiskey is named 1938 in honour of Ireland’s very first President, Douglas Hyde, who was inaugurated into office on the 28th of June 1938.

Pearse Lyons 7 Year Old Irish Whiskey (43% abv)

It’s the 7 year old expression from Ireland’s Pearse Lyons! This blended whiskey was predominantly matured in bourbon barrels, though a smidge was matured in sherry casks for good measure. The distillery’s very own single malt is in the mix, so there’s a good helping of malty notes alongside dried fruit, spice and orchard fruit.
