1 of only 568 bottles from Refill Sherry Cask drawn from an active, 1st fill Spanish oak ex-Sherry Butt. A deep mahogany colour, with mellow nose feel, not as dry as its predecessor. Bruised apple, tinned pear, and burnt caramel – toffee apple? Oloroso sherry, sweet tobacco, so leather. Develops into vanilla toffee (Werthers Originals; Chocolate Eclairs) with a drop of water. A sweet, burnt toffee taste, then immediately bitter saccharine. Water introduces chocolate and cocoa powder, reduces the other tastes and gives a light menthol aftertaste.

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 year old single malt whisky has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum.
Another fantastic invention from the workbench of Balvenie Malt Master David Stewart – a 17-year-old version of the bestselling DoubleWood. Still initially matured in ‘whisky oak’ casks before being switched to sherry wood to finish, the extra years give it extra depth without being overpowering.
An additional period of maturation in 30 year-old port pipes has given this aged Balvenie an extra level of depth and concentration of flavour, adding potent fruit and smoke notes to the silky-smooth full-bodied palate. Rich, indulgent, after-dinner Speyside at its best.
This 14-year-old heavily-peated single malt is the second whisky in the Balvenie Stories collection – a sweet and smoky whisky that balances earthy peat smoke with the distillery’s characteristic citrus edge. Gentle peat smoke, delicate flowers and sweet butterscotch fill the nose, while the palate initially offers notes of sharp citrus, blossom honey, creamy vanilla and rich, earthy peat.
The Balvenie Stories collection is designed to bring to life the tales of ‘character, endeavour and craft’ of those at Balvenie through the generations. The Week of Peat is inspired by the tradition, started in 2002, of distilling peated malt for only one week every year.

Matured for at least twenty-one years in a combination of four types of casks: bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks, pedro ximenez sherry casks and red wine casks. the whisky from these four woods has then been expertly blended together by our master blender to create a multi-faceted and superbly balanced malt, with each cask type adding unique notes to the taste experience: vanilla, chocolate and red fruits, developing from benriach’s signature sweet barley and fruit-laden style.
The BenRiach 22 Years old Albariza is part of BenRiach’s peated range. Originally matured in American oak casks, the whisky is then finished in Pedro Ximinez sherry casks. The name ‘Albariza’ is derived from the typical white soil used for growing grapes in the production of sherry in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain. Bottled at natural colour and non chill filtered.
Matured in the traditional style in American Bourbon barrels, this whisky is then ‘finished’ in dark rum barrels, sourced from the Caribbean island of Jamaica. During this second period of maturation, the whisky derives many interesting characteristics specific to the Dark Rum barrel. Bottled at natural colour and non chill filtered.
