Bastille 1789 Single Malt Whisky

Crafted by a visionary distiller this uses barley from the north of France and is aged in Limousin oak casks for a uniquely French take on the spirit. Layered with dried apricot, cocoa, strawberry and grainy aromas; the palate is medium with an earthy note and repeats from the nose. Very velvety with a long smooth finish.

M&H Distillery Tasting Kit – 4 x 50 ml (46% abv)

This gift set includes four miniature 50ml bottles of single malt whiskies from M&H Distillery. Each whisky has been aged in a different type of cask and demonstrates how the hot climate in Israel affects the aging process.  Package contains: Classic Whisky, as well as the Elements series: Sherry, Israeli Red Wine Cask and Peated expressions.

M&H The Classic Single Malt (46% abv)

The M&H distillery claims to be the first whisky distillery in Israel. Its name “M&H” stands for “Milk and Honey”. The M&H distillery distils and matures its whisky in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, which sits near the coast of the Mediterranean sea.

The distillery’s flagship single malt is called, perhaps predictably, the “Classic”. It is comprised of whiskies that have been aged in ex-bourbon and ex-red wine “STR” casks. The term “STR” stands for Shaved, Toasted and Re-charred. So, an STR cask would be a cask that had some of the wine stained oak shaved away before it is toasted and re-charred. This shaving off of some of the red wine staining, as you’d expect, turns the cask into something between a red-wine cask and a new “virgin” oak cask.

Mars Shinshu Iwai Whisky

Kiichiro Iwai, the name sake for this Mars Whisky, was a silent pioneer of Japan whisky. This whisky is inspired by great whiskies of America. A majority of corn balanced with light malt aged in ex bourbon barrels. Ideal for daily sipping, in a mint julep or an old fashioned.
TASTING NOTES: Sweet with fruit flavors like pear, quince and hints of red fruits and vanilla.

Stokerij De Molenberg Sola Jerez

Sola Jerez is a limited edition released to mark the 3rd anniversary of De Molenberg Distillery.

This edition is a special blend of our first own distillates from 2010 (33%) and the different sample distillates that were produced in 2007 before the start-up of our own distillery (67%), both only (Sola) with a wood-finish in Oloroso sherry (Jerez) butts.

The spirit from these first sample distillates was kept in our maturation chambers for more than 9 years in First Fill Bourbon casks (6 years) followed by a long finish in Oloroso sherry butts (3 years). This sun-drenched whisky combines the best tastes of Spain: slightly sweet fruity hints of apricot, orange, figs and raisins evolving towards a spicy taste sensation with warm woody touches that linger.
