“The 2014 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett displays a very pure and flinty bouquet with lovely fruit aromas. Light-bodied on the palate, this is a light and round, stimulatingly juicy Riesling of great purity, elegance and finesse. The finish is stimulatingly salty. Very light 8% alcohol and almost 70 grams of unconverted sugar. This is perfectly balanced and round, but pretty sweet.” RP
No wine town on the Mosel, Saar or Ruwer is like the other. This uniqueness is also found in our Kabinetts. These are local Riesling wines that express in a nuanced way the character of the local layers – from the soil to the microclimate. This is possible through loving, conscientious manual work. The Episcopal wineries Trier rely on a selective harvest, a particularly gentle grape processing and an extensive maturation – our Kabinetts are on the fine yeast until the spring of the year following the harvest. The result is harmonious, elegant Riesling, in which the respective wine is reflected finesse.
Brickyard is made by Redstone, owned by Morey Tawse. It’s a medium sweet style that is carried nicely by firm acidity. Expect aromas of ripe MacIntosh apple, white flowers and lemon that carry well on the palate. The fine lemony acidity of the 2014 vintage sears through nicely on the finish, and the length extends to very good length. Chill it well; fine for Japanese cuisine; pork roasts. A restrained, crisp and fresh Chardonnay that nicely balances aromas of ripe cantaloupe melon and peach fruit with complex popcorn, hazelnut, and lemon notes.
