This delicious Rosé of Syrah is almost dry. We left the berries whole during the fermentation to restrain tannin and retained just a touch of unfermented juice from the grapes to accentuate the fruitiness, making it a perfect summer wine paired with everything from grilled Salmon to veggie Paninis. Before dinner it’s our favorite stand up wine while your friends are gathering, a prelude. At dinner we love it with spicy foods.
Our Rosé is named for the endangered Checkerbloom plant we have growing in the extensive wetlands on the Deerfield Ranch Winery property. All the proceeds of the sale of this wine go to the restoration and preservation of these wetlands and the Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom.
