Dram Mor Foursquare 15 Year Old Rum (59.5% abv)
The combination of pot and column distillate and maturation in both American oak (8 years in Barbados) and ex-Scottish whisky cask (7 years in the UK), creates the perfect balance of rich molasses, tropical punch & subtle spice.
Nose: A faint hint of char like a distant campfire, wholly unexpected, savoury with just a note of vanilla right at the back.
Palate: Spiritous, rich, vanilla and smoke with subtle tannins and a light fruitiness that’s almost lost but not qui8t.
Finish: LIngering, hot, drying and very spicy, a comnation of liquorice and vanilla that’s unusually sophisticated for a rum.
