The Fool is a 6-year-old blended whisky released by indie bottlers North Star Spirits early in 2023 as the first Tarot Blend. In tarot, The Fool has the number 0 and is the first card in the 22 Major Arcana, so hopefully this is the start of a nice long series of these Tarot Blend whiskies.
The Fool 6-year-old North Star Tarot Blend consists of 20% malt and 80% grain whiskies distilled in 2016 and was a very small batch, with the entire blend marrying in two hogshead casks before bottling at its natural cask strength of 57.3%. This is an amazing price for a cask strength whisky, and we can’t wait to see what North Star have in store for the rest of the series.
