Color: Dark Mahogany Wood
Nose: You’re greeted by a malty sweetness of vanilla and dark roasted fruits; And then spices and cinnamon with dark chocolate sprinkled over a floral basket arrangement.
Palate: A beautifully balanced tingle of sweetness and spices on the front palate, slowly fading to thick butterscotch and rich cocoa. Then you’re hit with a exquisitely balanced mixture of buttery oils and malt biscuits – and in the background hanging out you discover notes adding to this complex profile – including roasted smoky barley, hazelnuts, honey, hints of cigar box and spices, and that sweet white port that accompanies you throughout.
Finish: In a welcoming way, it coats your entire palate – from top to bottom it’s a special single malt: Complex and full of flavours expertly layered in such a smooth fashion that it’s shocking this comes in at an ABV of 65.1%. Your senses burst from the sweetness and spices while the malt biscuit leaves you craving for one more sip. An old-world bakery – complete.
