Craft Cellars is honoured to host Jane Glees from Cantine Aldegheri for a wine tasting event featuring premium wines of Italy.
Cantine Aldegheri
Aldegheri is a family owned winery based in the Classical Valpolicella, Verona and producer of high quality Amarone and many other prestigious and delicious DOC and IGT Veneto wines produced with estate owned grapes. Twenty four different Veneto wines are produced directly from the estate owned vineyards (situated in the classical Valpolicella, on Lake Garda and to the East of Verona) with hand selected grapes, managed with love and passion by the Aldegheri family.
The winery is located in the heart of the Classical Valpolicella between Lake Garda and Verona, a blessed area renowned for wine making since the Roman times. The Aldegheri winery was born in Sant’ Ambrogio in the year 1956 and is a family run business. The perfect combination of technology and love and respect for the countryside, and continued investments, mean that Aldegheri is able to offer a wide range of high quality and typical wines from the Veneto region.
The winery owns vineyards (42 ha) in the classical Valpolicella and also to the South of Lake Garda at the stunning Villa Cariola estate (10 ha) and is able to offer a wide range of high quality wines produced with the utmost respect for nature. The vineyards are mostly in the hillsides with optimum south east sun exposition. Our harvest is done exclusively by hand selection.
Aldegheri offers all the typical, classical Veronese wines, from Valpolicella to Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto as well as a range of typical IGT wines, “Super Venetians” with Corvina blends (for example, Corvina & Cabernet, Corvina & Merlot) as well as some lovely whites such as Custoza, Lugana, Pinot Grigio and Prosecco
