‘We try to highlight the tipicity of each varietal with every bottle of Pequeñas Producciones. In order to do this, we select the most appropriate terroir for each of the varieties that are a part of this high- end line, bringing its highest expression to each bottle” Matías Ciciani, Winemaker. Escorihuela Gascón.
In a word, superb. It’s full-bodied, moderately sweet and incredibly tannic, but there’s amazing finesse and refinement to the texture, not to mention fabulous, concentrated aromas of raspberries, violets and other flowers. Perhaps the greatest Taylor ever, it’s better than either the ’92 or the ’70, though it’s very like the ’70 in structure. WS
The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli is a phenomenal achievement and a wine that captures not only the spirit of this classic vintage, but the true essence of an age-worthy wine like Brunello. This single vineyard Riserva is sharp, pristine and immaculate. It starts slow and shy, but then blossoms to beautiful intensity and aromatic brilliance. It delivers a very authentic and genuine read of Sangiovese with wild berry aromas followed by pressed violets, wet earth, tobacco and lightly toasted spice. The bouquet is seamless and very long in persistence. The same holds true for the mouthfeel. The wine delivers a fine and silky texture with a good dose of power and personality at the rear. 98+
Extremely perfumed with dark-berry and currant aromas. Hints of earth and spices. Full-bodied, round and medium sweet. Hints of resin. Opulent yet restrained. Shows ripe and beautiful fruit with clarity. Try in 2025. JS
Lots of ripe fruit here with raisins and wet earth that turn to violets and hot stones. Full-bodied, tannic and powerful with fantastic grip and intensity. Grabs you. Impressive. Drink in 2025. JS 98 pts
OMG. This is really the most amazing young Taylor Fladgate I have ever tasted. Full-bodied and lightly sweet with super power and intensity. So racy and focused. Yet this has such muscle and intensity. Needs at least eight years to show you everything it has to offer. Drink in 2025.
In a quiet corner of Val di Mezzane, sunny and windy valley, we find a tiny jewel of Valpolicella. 5 hectares that aim for becoming an expression of a different concept of winery: young yet authentic, innovative yet always in straight contact with nature, in one of the most traditional and severe wine growing areas on the Italian scenery. Thanks to the experience in the vineyard and in the cellar, to a fresh and enthusiastic management, a new and important reality in the Italian wine world developed.
This Ginjo has complex lively aromas with a silky light body. It comes with a smooth finish and refreshing aftertaste. Ginjo sake is known for its complexity, depth, range of interesting and diverse flavors and, above all, its balance between acidity and sweetness. This brew is a prime example of Ginjo sake.
This 2015 Pinot noir offers aromas of roasted spices, black raspberries, lilacs, dark loam, and bramble. Flavor follows with notes of cocoa nibs, toasted anise seed, and black cherry. Textures are rich and silky, with supple acidity. This wine has a lingering finish.
This is a prestigious red wine for ageing with a deep garnet red colour, produced using grapes picked in the hilly area of Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella and subsequently refermented on the marc of classic Recioto and Amarone. The marked aromas of plum and cooked marasca cherry stand out from the complex bouquet and make the first pleasurable impact, followed by perception of the perfect harmony of the full robust body.
This vividly coloured rosato wine shows the red-cherry character typical of the Bardolino but is more delicate. It often has a perfume on the nose reminiscent of bubble-gum, which comes from the fermentation process.
It is light-bodied and fruity with a lively acidity and a pleasantly bitter finish, which makes the wine suitable for serving lightly chilled.
