Cadenhead’s Glentauchers 16 Year Old Chairman’s Stock Cask Strength (59.6% abv)

Sweet to start with notes of peach iced tea and cola syrup, this dram from Glentauchers distillery develops as you sip revealing savoury notes of cigar box, taragon and nutmeg.

Glentauchers’ spirit has a long history of making its way into blends but this gives independent bottlers the perfect opportunity to be involved in sharing the flowery aroma of ‘Tauchers with the world.

Sitting in Mulben, Moray, the distillery has consistently produced a light spirit throughout its history, even though it has been known to fall foul of relatively fallow periods for the whisky industry but, despite occasional ups and downs, it is still around today and we are very glad it is.

Nose:
Treacle, flaked almonds, peach iced tea, root beer.

Flavour:
Cola syrup, glacé cherries, strawberry jelly sweets, strawberry laces.

Finish:
Marzipan, menthol, nutmeg, candied lemon, taragon, cigar box, ginger.
