Castarede 1974 Vintage Armagnac (40% abv)

A rare and highly complex single vintage Armagnac from 1974, showing a deep chestnut colour and the Castarède family’s signature notes of ripe fruit and gentle spice.

Single vintages are a rarity in the world of spirits but common in Armagnac, where single vintages can be released after a minimum ageing of 10 years prior to release.

The Castarède family was ennobled in 1818, and two decades later established their distillery in 1832 (a few years before France was equipped with a railway). Today Florence Castarède is the sixth generation at the helm of the family operations.
