Chichibu 3 Years – 2009 The Peated (50.5% abv)
$1,499.99
Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2012 after 3 years in white oak barrels, this single malt from the Japanese Chichibu distillery has a remarkable body thanks to its high alcohol content and marked smokiness. The mouth is rich and decisive, set on the same peat as the smell, to which are added flavors of fruit and vanilla. Long and mineral finish.
Chichibu is becoming the first 100% Japanese whiskey, thanks to the efforts of its creator, Ichiro Akuto, who not only created the first distillery ever created in Japan, but also the smallest in existence. Ichiro’s Malt is a wonderfully crafted whiskey that despite its origins, hides within itself a complex taste that has nothing to envy to traditional Scottish single malts.
