CVNE Gran Reserva
$37.99
The newest (to date) special reserva wine made by CVNE is the Cune Gran Reserva. As well as our Crianzas and Reservas, we wanted to produce a wine for laying down, made exclusively with grapes from our vineyards in villages near Haro: Torrentalvo, with Briones and Villalba, depending on the vintage. In the past, we did not have the vines to make this wine.
The specially selected grapes for Cune Gran Reserva come from our own vineyards in Torrentalbo. The vines are 45 years old on average, head-trained and south and east facing, while the soils are clayey with pebbles.
85% tempranillo
10% graciano
5% mazuelo
Garnet in colour with reddish hints. It has good aromatic complexity where a perfect balance between ripe fruits and notes of spices, tobacco leaf and roasted coffee can be found. The palate is silky with fin-grained tannins, and a gently acidic finish giving freshness followed by a long, balsamic aftertaste.
Cune Gran Reserva 2016 is perfect for accompanying any dish based on Mediterranean cuisine.
