About Murray McDavid
Founded in 1994 by Mark Reynier (current CEO of Waterford and Renegade), Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright (Springbank Distillery), Murray McDavid quickly made a name for itself with maturation in exquisite barrels. The team is also known for taking over and “rescuing” the Bruichladdich Distillery.
Intriguing light, creamy single grain from Loch Lomond, distilled in 1996 and matured for 25 years – 22 of which were spent in bourbon hogsheads, while the final three were spent in Diamond rum casks from Guyana! It was eventually released by Murray McDavid for its Mission Gold series, with an outturn of 391 limited bottles.
