This limited-edition Single Malt Whisky is very special to the Lochlea team, as it is our first ever age statement release. 2 of the 5 casks used are from the very first filling in August 2018, making this the oldest Lochlea whisky we’ve ever bottled.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Baked pineapple, brown sugar, hazelnuts, sourdough bread
Palate: Lemon zest, candied pear crumble, orange peel
Finish: Caramel with hints of black pepper, rose petals and leather
50% ABV. Non-chill filtered. Natural colour.
1st Fill Bourbon: Cask No 25.
1st Fill Bourbon: Cask No 20.
1st Fill Oloroso Sherry: Cask No 249.
Double Matured PX Sherry: Cask No 295.
Double Matured Oloroso Sherry: Cask No 272.
