92 Points – James Suckling
Both rich and round, this white wine Parallèle 45 Paul Jaboulet is a white wine from Organic Farming. This cuvée takes its name from the 45th parallel North which passes 2km south of the cellars of the Domaine! The Jaboulet family has established itself in a multitude of prestigious names of the Rhône Valley such as Hermitage or Crozes-Hermitage. Among its most accessible wines, this white wine is one of the references with the Red Parallel 45!
Dressed in a beautiful straw yellow dress with green reflections, this white Parallel 45 reveals a frank nose of candied fruits, white flowers, citrus fruits, all accompanied by subtle fresh and spicy shades of juniper. Wide and warm, the aromas of grapefruit and pineapple continue to reveal later, a beautiful freshness in the finish! Its elegant and juicy body is associated with a well-integrated and very pleasant acidity.
In the mouth, this white wine Parallèle 45 Paul Jaboulet has a rather full-bodied character on ripe tannins and already quite melted.
The Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné is the story of a magical encounter: that of a generous terroir on a hill on the edge of the Rhône and a family, passionate about the vines. Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet, Le Domaine Paul Jaboulet Ainé now belongs to the Frey family, Champagne winemakers and owners of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux. This domain is located on the most beautiful plots of the Côtes-du-Rhône appellations. These Rhône wines are vinified in stainless steel tanks, and aged a few months at 50% in oak barrels.
Blend: White Grenache 50%, Marsanne 20%, Viognier 10%, Bourdoulenc 10%
