Château Malartic-Lagravière 2021, Pessac-Léognan
$101.99
Château Malartic Lagravière is a producer located in the Pessac-Léognan region of Graves in Bordeaux. It was one of only six châteaux to have both its red and white wines classified in the 1959 Graves classification, and since then, the estate has become a very modern winemaking establishment. It is in a constant search for quality and with the support of highly qualified and committed teams that the Bonnie family passionately elaborates the wines of Vignobles Malartic. Vintage after vintage, the wines of Châteaux Malartic-Lagravière brilliantly express the nobility and identity of their terroirs.
Initial tastings reveal great elegance, with silky, very sophisticated red wines, characterized by freshness and aromatic clarity. There is good density with a velvety tannin texture. The whites are very fresh and offer good concentration with a beautiful fruitiness.
Expert Tasting Notes: “A very fresh and juicy red with a medium body and supple, soft tannins. Vibrant red-berry fruit with pretty spice notes. Raspberries and licorice with some salted chocolate. 67% cabernet sauvignon, 32% merlot and 1% cabernet franc.” – James Suckling, 93-94 Points
67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot & 1% Cabernet Franc
