Cazcanes Blanco No. 9 (50% abv)

This 100-proof tequila was the first Blanco to be crafted by Master Distiller Collin Edwards. It’s distilled from ripe blue Weber agaves and has won some of the most prestigious awards and medals, including a Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The Caxcan were the last indigenous Mexicans to be conquered by the Spaniards. Cazcanes Tequila is inspired by the nomadic people that were considered the heart of the Mixtón Rebellion in the 16th century. Cazcanes tequila is based on a centuries-old indigenous recipe that was found in a moonshine still. It’s crafted with artesian water from deep underground springs beneath the Cazcanes land and hand-selected blue Weber agaves that grow in volcanic soil. The agave hearts (piñas) are cooked and crushed, then fermented using naturally-occurring yeast, before the juice is distilled using alembic stills. The 100-proof No.9 Blanco Tequila was crafted by Master Distiller Collin Edwards and has won several of the most prestigious awards for its sophisticated profile with notes of agave, candy corn, black pepper, earthiness, and floral aromas.
