Offering up a delightful and expressive nose, the 2017 Proprietor’s Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a balanced frame of red and black fruits with a dusty minerality and an undercurrent of herbal nuances that waft with elements of potpourri and baking spices that lift the expression out of the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is lively with acidity and displays gripping tannins that firm up on the mid-palate, ending with a food-friendly finish that leaves a persistent flavor of dark plum skin in the mouth. 6,450 bottles were made of this enjoyable and precise Cabernet.
