Chateau La Besage Grand Reserve
$23.99
As a neighbor of Bordeaux, wine has been planted in the Bergerac region since Roman times. While mostly unheard of, it was once of France’s first appellations, formed in 1936.
This Grand Cuvee is a blend of the classics: Cabernet and Merlot, and offers value we often don’t think about from its prestigious neighbor. It is a savoury red with wild black berries, smoked meat, leather, graphite, black plum, carob and toasted spice aromas. The entry is supple and leads with flavours of charred cherries, which are layered with baking spice, leather and tobacco. It has length and depth and structure and balance all in check.
