The village of Saint-Vérand has a “d”, the appellation does not. It dates from 1971, it is the last appellation granted in the Mâconnais region. Jurassic limestone prolongs the limestone layers of the Côte d’Or, ideal for Chardonnay. The color is close to that of Pouilly-Fuissé with a golden hue with green highlights.
