Perrin Gigondas Clos Des Tourelles

$64.99

It is no coincidence Famille Perrin is the leading organic wine grower of the Southern Rhône Valley where they occupy the regions best terroirs. Their values have given them a worldwide reputation for excellence: absolute respect for the soil, a commitment to manual methods and a deep belief that organic viticulture is the only way to express thetrue essence of the terroir. Moreover the combination of talents within the family ensures the continuation of their unique expertise. Nature and tradition are key to the Famille Perrin way and this approach has continued seamlessly over five generations.

This building has been inhabited forever and was the first construction outside the fortified walls of the village of Gigondas. Built on medieval foundations, this beautiful Provencal home was erected in the XVII century and now forms a beautiful estate with its two towers.

Formed of 10 hectares of Grenache (80%), Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre, the vineyard of Les Tourelles is located on limestone and sandy soils that are outstanding in the “Clos”, a locality planted in old Grenache vines directly next to the estate and the village of Gigondas.

Elegant dark cherry colour, deep and intense. Of great complexity, the nose reveals a superb aromatic bouquet with notes of “garrigue” and blueberries delicately underlined with a hint of Timut pepper and fine smoky notes. On the palate, this refinement continues with finesse, with a beautiful rich and dense structure, enhanced by silky tannins and tasty aromas of black fruit, noble leather and violets. A model of elegance with great aging potential.
