Adelphi Islay Caol Ila 10 Year Old Single Malt

Adelphi Islay 10 Year Old is an independently bottled Caol Ila single malt, released under Adelphi’s own Islay label. Rather than a single-cask, high-proof Adelphi Selection bottling, this is a small-batch expression designed to offer a more approachable introduction to the bottler’s style at 46% ABV.

The current 2026 release was matured in ex-bourbon casks, putting the emphasis firmly on Caol Ila’s spirit character rather than heavy cask influence. It is bottled without added colouring or chill filtration.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh lemon peel, sea spray and vanilla with clean peat smoke and a light mineral edge.
Palate: Bright citrus and soft malt wrapped in dry smoke, gentle ash and vanilla, with briny coastal notes keeping it crisp.
Finish: Medium to long with lingering peat smoke, sea salt and dry malt, remaining fresh rather than heavily smoky.
