Caramel Espresso Martini

This classic cocktail has been on barlists since 1997 but has made a comeback in restaurants around the world in 2024. It is a simple cocktail to make: combining smooth espresso, vodka (traditionally), a coffee flavoured liqueur and a sweetener - the perfect pick-me-up after a long day. Because of the strong flavours of espresso, you can get creative with both the liquor used and add other liqueurs, non-traditional sweeteners and bitters to give your cocktail a unique flavour.

 

 

 

Caramel Espresso Martini

Ingredients

Vodka 2oz
Espresso 1oz
Caramel Syrup 1/2oz
Coffee Liqueur 1/2oz

Instructions

  • 1 Brew your espresso shot over the salted caramel sauce, this ensures it melts and gives maximum flavour
  • 2 Then pour into a shaker cup with liquor and liqeur of choice plus ice
  • 3 Give it a good 15-20 second shake and strain into a classic martini glass
  • 4 For additional style points, rim the martini glass with a mixture of flaky sea salt and RAW sugar
