Alvarado Rioja Crianza

Produced in Spain’s renowned Rioja region, Alvarado Rioja Crianza reflects the balance between traditional winemaking and modern precision that defines contemporary Rioja. The region’s combination of limestone-rich soils, varied elevations, and Atlantic climatic influence creates ideal conditions for producing elegant and structured Tempranillo-based wines.

Tempranillo forms the foundation of the blend, occasionally supported by small amounts of traditional Rioja varieties depending on the vintage. Grapes are harvested at optimal maturity to preserve freshness while achieving ripe fruit concentration and balanced tannin structure.

As a Crianza, the wine undergoes mandatory aging in both oak barrels and bottle before release, a process that contributes texture, integration, and characteristic notes of vanilla, cedar, and spice. Aging typically takes place in a combination of American and French oak, allowing the wine to develop complexity while maintaining the vibrant fruit profile central to Rioja Crianza style.
