Ardbeg Dolce

Produced at Ardbeg Distillery on the rugged Isle of Islay, Ardbeg Eureka! Dolce Vita (commonly referred to as Ardbeg Dolce) was created as a special Committee Release showcasing the distillery's flair for unconventional cask experimentation. Founded in 1815, Ardbeg is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s most iconic peated whisky producers, celebrated for combining intense smoke with unexpected complexity and balance. This expression was matured in a combination of bourbon casks and sweet wine casks, resulting in a richly textured whisky that amplifies both the distillery’s smoky character and dessert-like sweetness. Bottled at a robust strength and presented without chill filtration, it exemplifies Ardbeg’s commitment to flavour-forward whisky making.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of dark chocolate, espresso, caramelized sugar, candied orange peel, raisin, and smoked almonds emerge alongside classic Ardbeg notes of bonfire smoke, sea spray, and medicinal peat.

Palate: Full-bodied and velvety with layers of toffee, mocha, dark fruit, vanilla cream, roasted coffee bean, cinnamon spice, and rich peat smoke balanced by sweet wine cask influence and maritime salinity.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering notes of cocoa, smoky oak, espresso, salted caramel, dried fruit, and glowing peat embers.
