Ardnamurchan “The Midgie”

Ardnamurchan Distillery sits on the remote Ardnamurchan Peninsula in the Highlands of Scotland and has been producing whisky since 2014. The distillery embraces a light-touch, sustainable approach to production, drawing on its rugged coastal environment and renewable energy sources to shape expressive Highland single malts.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A vibrant mix of gammon ham with torched pineapple, prunes dipped in salt and sweet strawberry jam on a salty cracker, complemented by almond oil and coconut macaroon.

Palate: Salt-baked pear, meadowsweet, wildflowers and lemon thyme are joined by sultanas, cherrywood embers, cocoa powder and pink peppercorns, creating sweet-savory depth.

Finish: A gentle, buoyant puff of smoke leads into Himalayan pink salt and red currant cordial, where sweet and salty mingle in a dry, lengthy close.
