Arran 18 Year Old

Arran Distillery, located in Lochranza on the Isle of Arran, has built its reputation on producing vibrant, fruit-driven whiskies with a natural craft approach. The 18 Year Old is one of its core aged releases, matured in a combination of ex-sherry casks that lend depth, warmth, and a gentle nuttiness. Long maturation by the sea enhances both finesse and character, producing a whisky that feels balanced yet indulgent.

Nose:
Layers of caramelized orchard fruits, baked apricot, citrus oils, and honeycomb. Subtle notes of toasted almonds, warm vanilla, and dried flowers sit beneath the initial fruitiness.

Palate:
Rich and velvety with flavours of toffee, ripe peach, and fig. Mid-palate brings gentle baking spices, roasted nuts, and a pleasant malty core. The sherry influence adds depth without overwhelming the spirit’s natural freshness.

Finish:
Long and warming with lingering oak spice, soft chocolate, and a touch of orange zest melding into gentle tannins.
