Bardstown West Virginia Great Barrel Co.

Produced by Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown, Kentucky, this release is part of the distillery’s acclaimed Collaborative Series, which focuses on partnerships that explore innovation in blending, maturation, and finishing techniques. For this expression, Bardstown partnered with the forward-thinking West Virginia Great Barrel Company, an Appalachian cooperage known for its custom barrel technology and infrared toasting methods.
The release has earned strong praise from whiskey critics for its originality and mouthfeel. Club Oenologique awarded it an impressive 93 points, describing it as β€œmouthcoating and oily” with superb balance between spice and fruit character. Breaking Bourbon also highlighted the whiskey’s exceptional texture and innovative blending approach, calling it β€œa delicious easy-to-sip whiskey” that successfully showcases the possibilities of modern cooperage experimentation.
