Benromach Single Cask 2014 #437

Benromach Distillery was founded in Forres, Scotland in 1898 and later revived by family-owned Gordon & MacPhail, reopening in 1998 after a careful restoration. The distillery is known for preserving a more traditional Speyside style, combining rich malt, hands-on production, and a gentle smoky thread. Bottled for McMurray Malt Maniacs.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: The nose opens with dried fruit, orange peel, dark chocolate, baking spice, toasted oak, and a gentle curl of smoke.

Palate: The palate is full and warming, with layers of raisins, figs, cocoa, spiced malt, roasted nuts, oak, and a savoury sherry depth lifted by subtle peat smoke.

Finish: The finish is long, warming, and gently drying, with lingering spice, dark fruit, oak tannin, and a final touch of smoke.
