Blindman Brewing Foedered Lager - Doppelbock 4 x 473ml

Considering the time of year, something bigger and bolder fit the bill nicely. This one has plenty of malt character, a burnt auburn color with a soft tan head. Expect bready notes and caramel aroma, with rich malty flavours and some warming. The Doppelbock originates from Paulaner monks in Munich; a rich, malty style with roots in filling the bellies of monks as a basic need during their fasting periods for lent. A great beer for the early winter months and cozying up around a campfire. Something new with inspiration from something very old.
