Blue Grouse Charme de L'Ile NV

Blue Grouse Estate Winery is located in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, a cool maritime region where mild summers and slow ripening help grapes retain naturally high acidity and fresh aromatics. The estate traces its commercial winemaking history to the early 1990s and was one of Vancouver Island’s earliest licensed wineries.

Charme de L’Île is Blue Grouse’s interpretation of Vancouver Island’s signature tank-method sparkling style. The exact blend can vary between releases, drawing on Island-grown varieties including Schönburger, Bacchus, Pinot Gris, Ortega, Müller-Thurgau and Chardonnay. The base wine is fermented dry in stainless steel before a second fermentation in pressurized tank creates the bubbles, preserving fresh fruit and floral character.

Nose: Green apple, white pear and fresh melon with citrus, peach and delicate floral notes.
Palate: Crisp and refreshing, with apple, melon and white peach carried by lively acidity and soft, energetic bubbles.
Finish: Clean and bright, with lingering citrus, orchard fruit and a subtle saline edge.
