Founded in 1881 on the remote northeast coast of Islay, Bunnahabhain is renowned for producing a distinctive style of island whisky that favours richness and elegance over heavy peat smoke. The distillery's spirit matures in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, allowing its naturally fruity character to develop exceptional depth while retaining the subtle coastal influence of its seaside warehouses.
This expression has consistently earned international acclaim, including Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and multiple Gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge and International Wine & Spirit Competition. It is widely regarded as one of the finest mature unpeated single malts to come from Islay.


Tasting Profile
Nose: Rich aromas of dried figs, raisins, toffee, roasted nuts, polished oak, sea salt, and gentle spice emerge with remarkable balance.

Palate: Full-bodied and silky with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, sherry-soaked fruit, toasted almonds, warm baking spices, orange peel, and a subtle coastal minerality.

Finish: Long, warming, and elegant with lingering dried fruit, cocoa, oak spice, roasted hazelnuts, and a delicate maritime salinity.
