Sweet and fruity with a touch of savoury leather on the palate, this bottling from Tamdhu, finished in an Oloroso cask, features notes of maraschino cherries, date syrup and fragrant orange essence. Tamdhu Distillery is a Speyside producer of single malt scotch whisky located in Knockando, Banffshire. Tamdhu comes from Gaelic for “little dark hill”. A reliable component of blends over the years, Tamdhu spirit is known to be sweet and fruity spirit with the ability to handle ageing in ex-sherry casks. Nose: Blackcurrant juice, Black Forest gateau, maraschino cherries. Flavour: Prune juice, dark chocolate, leather armchair, date syrup. Finish: Old fashioned cocktail, orange essence, dried apricots.
