Cocchi Americano Rosa Aperitivo Wine

This is the pink version of the well-known and appreciated white version of the Cocchi Aperitivo, a vermouth made from local Piedmontese red grapes and infused with gentian, cinchona, herbs and spices. Like the white, this has a pleasantly bitter back bite, critical to balancing out the sugar added, along with a marked citrus-pink grapefruit (and pith) flavour. I love the length and depth - over ice with a splash of soda and grapefruit wedge, or mixed in cocktails, this is a solid drink.
