Conundrum White

Conundrum was created by the Wagner family of Caymus Vineyards with the goal of crafting unconventional blends that emphasize harmony, texture, and broad appeal. Since its introduction, Conundrum White has become recognized for its unique multi-varietal approach, combining complementary grape varieties to create a wine with both aromatic intensity and balance.

Produced from select vineyard sites across California, the blend may include varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Viognier, and Semillon, depending on the vintage. Each component contributes different characteristics β€” from citrus freshness and tropical fruit to floral aromatics and creamy texture.

California’s diverse growing regions and warm climate allow for full flavour development while cooler coastal influences help preserve acidity and freshness. Fermentation is carefully managed to maintain fruit purity and aromatic expression, while limited oak influence and lees contact may be used to enhance texture and integration.

The result is a highly approachable and expressive white blend that emphasizes richness, freshness, and versatility.
