De Martino 2021 Las Olvidadas Old Vine Series

De Martino’s Old Vine Series highlights historic vineyards across south-central Chile. Las Olvidadas comes from a tiny, dry-farmed vineyard in Santa Cruz de Guarilihue, just 22 km from the Pacific Ocean, where the vines are estimated to be 100–300 years old. The coastal climate and granite soils with quartz contribute freshness, perfume and a distinctive mineral grip.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale ruby to garnet.

Nose: Wild strawberry, sour cherry and goji berry with dried flowers, earth and subtle herbal notes.

Palate: Medium-bodied and fresh, with vibrant red fruit, gentle acidity and lightly grippy, granitic tannins.

Finish: Long and savoury, with lingering sour cherry, herbs and mineral texture.
