Egan's Odyssey Series VI

Egan's Odyssey Series VI

A distinctive Irish single malt that brings together traditional bourbon barrel maturation and the rich influence of craft beer casks. Toasted barley, crisp apple and warming spice lead into espresso, dark chocolate and juicy raisins, with a long, pleasantly refreshing finish. Finished in Imperial Stout casks from Vancouver's Brewhall Craft Brewery, this limited release offers an intriguing meeting of Irish whiskey and Canadian brewing craftsmanship.

Egan's Odyssey Series VI

The Egan family established its merchant business in Tullamore, Ireland, in 1852, building a reputation in whiskey bonding, brewing and malting. Revived by later generations of the family, the brand continues to specialize in sourcing, maturing and finishing Irish whiskeys.

This single malt is initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels before undergoing secondary maturation in casks previously used to age Brewhall's 7109 Imperial Stout.
- Ex-bourbon barrels: Develop vanilla, honey, soft oak and orchard fruit.
- Imperial Stout casks: Introduce roasted malt, espresso, cocoa and darker, bittersweet flavours.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted barley, crisp apple cider and gentle warming spice, with a subtle roasted malt character.
Palate: Rich espresso and cocoa mingle with juicy raisins, soft vanilla and a touch of bittersweet chocolate.
Finish: Long and balanced, with lingering roasted malt, dark chocolate and a pleasantly refreshing touch of acidity.
