Produced by Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, Elijah Craig has long been recognized as one of the defining names in American whiskey. While the brand is best known for bourbon, Elijah Craig Toasted Rye expands the lineup with a distinctive rye whiskey finished in a second custom-toasted new oak barrel developed in partnership with Independent Stave Company.
Since its release, Elijah Craig Toasted Rye has earned strong critical praise for its balance of sweetness and spice. At the 2026 World Whiskies Awards, it was named Category Winner for Best American Rye Whiskey in the No Age Statement division, with judges highlighting its velvety mouthfeel and warm spice profile.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of toasted oak, crème brûlée, caramel corn, almonds, hazelnuts, and burnt sugar rise alongside hints of vanilla and baking spice.

Palate: Soft and creamy with notes of milk chocolate, toasted staves, brown sugar, rye spice, and subtle clove supported by a velvety texture and gentle sweetness.
