Fettercairn 16 Year Old

Founded in 1824 at the foot of Scotland's Cairngorm Mountains, Fettercairn is renowned for its unique copper cooling ring distillation process, which showers the stills with mountain water during distillation. This innovative technique promotes a lighter, fruit-forward spirit that has become the distillery's signature style. The Fettercairn 16 Year Old is matured in a combination of first-fill and refill American oak ex-bourbon casks, followed by finishing in first-fill Oloroso and Palo Cortado sherry casks. Bottled at 46.4% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, allowing the whisky's full character to shine.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh mango, grilled pineapple, ripe apricot, vanilla pod, honey, toasted almonds, and delicate baking spice.

Palate: Creamy layers of tropical fruit, baked pear, caramel, milk chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, cinnamon, and gentle sherry sweetness unfold over soft oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of dried fruit, toasted oak, cocoa, sweet spice, and a touch of citrus zest.
