Fortemasso 2019 Barolo Castelletto

Made from 100% Nebbiolo grown in the Castelletto cru of Monforte d’Alba in the heart of Barolo. The 2019 vintage brought excellent ripeness with firmness of tannin and freshness of acidity. The wine undergoes traditional maceration and extended aging in large oak casks, which supports both complexity and aging potential.

This wine displays bright ruby with garnet highlights and a deeply aromatic nose of ripe cherries, raspberries, and hibiscus, layered with juniper, dried herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate it is juicy yet structured, with fresh red fruit, well-meshed tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, elegant finish with mineral undertones.

Best enjoyed from 2024 through 2034, with a peak range of 2026 to 2032 as the tannins soften and tertiary aromas develop.
