Fritz Haag 2023 Juffer Riesling Kabinett

Weingut Fritz Haag has been documented in Brauneberg since 1605 and is now led by Oliver and Jessica Haag. The Brauneberger Juffer is a steep, south-facing vineyard rooted in weathered Devonian slate, a terroir renowned for producing finely structured, mineral-driven Riesling.

The 2023 Kabinett is 100% Riesling from early-picked fruit. A challenging growing season required careful hand selection, particularly following late-summer rain, but produced wines with excellent freshness and juicy fruit. The naturally sweet Kabinett is vinified entirely in stainless steel to preserve purity and precision.

Colour: Pale lemon-gold.
Nose: White peach, grapefruit and delicate spring flowers with subtle herbs and smoky slate.
Palate: Light and finely balanced, with peach and citrus fruit, gentle sweetness and vibrant, racy acidity.
Finish: Long, focused and refreshing, with lingering grapefruit, florals and flinty mineral notes.
