Glenfarclas 2001 (Cask 3383) - Family Cask Summer 2022 Release

The family-run distillery released this Glenfarclas Single Cask Whisky from 2001 in the summer of 2022 for their Family Casks series. The single malt whisky spent its cask maturity from 2001 to 2022 in the 4th fill butt #3383. The distillery bottled the Scotch at cask strength at 55.1% by volume. As a natural Scotch, it also comes without coloring and chill filtration. 574 bottles are available from the bottling worldwide. Nose: The Single Cask Scotch Whisky fills the nose with sherry and nuts. It smells of malt and caramel. Dried fruits penetrate. Cloves, nutmeg and chocolate round off the aroma. Tasting: The Glenfarclas 2001 Cask 3383 is spicy on the tongue. It tastes like oak wood. He also brings notes of liquorice and dried fruit. Sherry and baking spices initiate the finish. Finish: The finish is long-lasting. The Scotch says goodbye with fruity sweetness. It also leaves a light spiciness.
