Glenfiddich 16 Aston Martin Batch 2

Glenfiddich 16 Year Old Aston Martin Formula One Release No. 2 is a 2026 limited-edition Speyside single malt, created by Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman in celebration of the distillery's ongoing partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team. The collaboration draws parallels between Kinsman's approach to whisky maturation and the technical precision of Adrian Newey, Aston Martin's Managing Technical Partner. Released in August 2026, Batch 2 builds on the inaugural 2025 edition with a substantially different cask composition.

Unlike the first release, which focused on three American oak cask types, Release No. 2 brings together whisky matured or finished in five different cask styles:
- First-fill bourbon barrels: Vanilla, caramel and orchard fruit.
- Port pipes: Rich red berries, plum and rounded sweetness.
- Oloroso sherry casks: Dried fruit, toasted nuts and deeper spice.
- Red wine casks: Stewed fruit and additional richness.
- Fino sherry butts: Delicate nutty notes and a drier, more structured finish.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich stewed orchard fruits, delicate florals and marzipan, with polished leather and gentle oak.
Palate: Silky and rounded, with buttery toffee, caramelized sugar, ripe fruit and subtle vanilla.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering sweetness, seasoned oak and a pleasantly dry, lightly spiced character
