Gordon & MacPhail is one of Scotland’s most historic and respected independent bottlers, founded in 1895 and renowned for its long-term cask maturation and close relationships with distilleries across Scotland. The Spirit of Scotland series focuses on single cask releases that showcase individuality and natural character, often bottled at cask strength with no chill filtration or added colouring. This 2014 Bunnahabhain expression was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 at around 59.7% ABV, matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead with an outturn of roughly 300 bottles.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Raisins and ginger spice lead, followed by subtle coffee bean, citrus, and hints of dark sweetness.

Palate: Rich and full, with stewed fruit, toffee, and red apple layered with spice and sherry depth.

Finish: Long and warming, with hazelnut, soft oak, and lingering spice.
