Gordon & MacPhail is one of Scotland’s most historic and respected independent bottlers, founded in 1895 and renowned for its long-term cask maturation and close relationships with distilleries across Scotland. The Spirit of Scotland series focuses on single cask releases that showcase individuality and natural character, often bottled at cask strength with no chill filtration or added colouring. This Caol Ila 2010 (Cask #307585) was matured for 15 years in a first-fill sherry butt and bottled in 2025 at around 57% ABV, with a limited outturn of just over 600 bottles.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Sultanas, blackcurrant, and coastal air lead, layered with smoked embers and savoury notes.

Palate: Rich and full, with red berries, dark chocolate, and blood orange balanced by peat smoke and warming spice.

Finish: Long and smoky, with glowing embers, drying oak, and a saline, savoury fade
